At Escrick Pre-school Playgroup we place great emphasis upon working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure your child receives the highest quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. This guidance sets out clear guiding principles that support our practitioners in meeting every child's individual needs. We believe that by creating a supporting and nurturing environment , each child is provided with the opportunity to flourish as happy, confident children. We aim to ensure that children enjoy their time at Escrick Pre-school and that they are well prepared for a smooth transition to school.

Established more than 40 years ago, Escrick Pre-School Playgroup is a registered charity run by a Management Committee made up of elected parents and staff. The Pre-School is not run for profit and all funding is used to further our priorities: the safety, happiness, well-being and development of your child.

• Ofsted rated 'Good' in May 2009 with outstanding for inclusion
• Caring, experienced staff offering care at approved ratios 
• Dedicated homely premises catering for 18 children
• Superb outdoor facilities enabling access for all abilities 
• Care for children aged 2 years 6 months to school age
• Up to 15 hours of funded sessions available for all 3 and 4 year olds
• Childcare vouchers accepted, such as Busy Bees
